Message from the Barnes family
I want to thank God, my family, friends, and great leaders that has helped us thus far. It has been 10 months since Phylicia S. Barnes was reported missing and later found murdered. There is still NO justice.
As we searched for Phylicia, I ran into so many systematic obstacles that it would and could make a family give up looking for their missing family member(s). There were times when my faith was not there because we were not getting any answers as to where Phylicia could be and now what happened and why. We have worked together, must continue to work together and stand up for justice for all missing cases.
We know, as all know, that the system has to change or the numbers of missing people cases will continue to grow and continue to be unsolved. We as a family and a community must press to the law makers that this is a true epidemic and it has to stop. The criminals and murderers are getting away with crimes and the judicial system is letting people walk, not prosecuting them. My people will stand with Susan, Don, Tracy, Mark, and others to bring more national coverage. We will continue to keep faith and stay focused on what we need to do for justice for Phylicia and other missing people cases, by working together.
